– Thematic Report on national financial education initiatives on digitalization, with a focus on cybersecurity, scams and fraud

Executive summary

The European Supervisory Authorities (ESAs) are mandated under their respective Founding Regulations to review and coordinate financial literacy and education initiatives by national competent authorities. As a follow-up to previous work done in this area , the ESAs have assessed the risks currently arising to EU consumers in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and the increased use of digital financial services, and identified financial vulnerability and exclusion as two important risks.
