Augustyniak Monika, Commissions and other consultative bodies in local governments at the level of the voivodship in Poland and the region in France - contribution to the discussion

In the Polish and French territorial self-government the authority at the voivodship and regional level is exercised primarily by the voivodship authorities which carry out their tasks by appointing i.a. commissions and other consultative bodies of a regional nature.

Commissions are substantively specialized bodies that carry out strictly defined tasks indicated by the act or statute/internal regulations of a given voivodship/regional self-government . The commissions of the legislative bodies both in the Polish and French legal order play an auxiliary role in the proper functioning of the legislative body of a given unit, being a place of debate in matters falling within the competence of the bodies of these units.
