Child nutrition from the perspective of behavioural law: Theory and Practice

1.Introduction

The law looked at from the behavioral perspective focuses on nutritional education both in theory and in practice. It is a kind of process that involves ordering or prohibiting certain behaviors, and informing interested parties about food and healthy nutrition for children and the obligations involved. The guidelines contained in the legal norm should be based on up-to-date and verified sources, hence references to medicine, dietetics, psychology, pedagogy and sociology are justified to some extent. The systematic acquisition of non-legal knowledge on healthy nutrition helps children form proper eating habits as well as pro-health attitudes from the earliest possible age. Nutrition is one of the most important environmental elements affecting the child’s physical and mental development. Nutrition mistakes adversely affect the child’s further development, lifestyle and eating habits.
